Here are the stock specifications for the Hyundai Tiburon 2003 4 cylinder models.

This Tiburon is a great ride. If you like confort with style, it's awesome. If you want performance handling, this Tiburon will leave you wanting much more.

The stock suspension, mags and tires are great for confort. If you want great handling in curves, you will need to change this setup. I lowered my suspension with Eibach Pro-Kit Springs which gives you a drop of about 1.5 inches. I got some 17 inch mags with performance tires. I also installed a SharkRacing front Strut Bar.

With those three modifications, I believe I got a great setup without over spending. The car now handles really well. The only down side is the short life of my tires.

The other down side to this car in stock form is the engine. I use to own a 1998 Tiburon which had 140 horsepower. It wasn't a drag car or anything, but it was still fun to drive. The 1/4 mile with the 1998-2001 models was about 16 secondes flat.

The new Tiburons, 2003 and up, kept the same engine but for some reason went down to 134 hp. Add to that the several hundred pounds more and this stock 2003 Tiburon is one slow car. My best 1/4 mile time was something like 16.6 secondes. That's pretty slow for a sports coupe.
